THOSE FUCKING SNOWFLAKES
NO SKY FOR RISHI
Hello, lovely to see you again. We’ll be using this website for updates more because all social media is nazi trash – not too much though as it requires effort on our part.
This Friday, 25th April saw the release of our first new song in years and years, it’s the first of four we have recorded and intend to release throughout the year, unless we split up again. The next ’Straight Pride Month’ will probably be out in June. It’s dead good an all.
No Sky For Rishi is an allegory riffing on the infamous interview Rishi Sunak gave in June 2024 where he claimed to have ‘gone without’ due to not having SKY TV as a child. We saw this as a perfect example of how out of touch the people at the top are with the working class of today’s society.
Whilst we see record numbers of people using food banks, people in full time work having to rely on benefits and other support just to survive – we had the (then) Prime Minister let us know that he was one of us, as he had gone without Sky TV as a child. It wasn’t dissimilar to the Queen, after a year of hardship and self sacrifice in 2018, telling us to ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ – placating the proles whilst sat in front of a golden chair.
We captured this interview as a lasting testament to how these people do not understand us and never will understand us. Although the incident is long past now (hey it takes time and money to record music and we have neither of those things), we should keep these examples in mind next time we hit the polling stations.
